Overview

This web based guide is meant to be used by food organizations to evaluate the performance of sampling plans with respect to acceptance sampling. A goal of this web-based tool is to evaluate the performance of sampling plans with respect to acceptance sampling. This involves calculating the probability of rejecting a lot of products under a specified sampling plan, given the level and pattern of contamination of the product.

The tool is also intended to help users design effective sampling plans, by providing appropriate values for various parameters that will result in desirable rejection rates for particular hazard concentrations. The plan types that can be considered are Presence/Absence plans, as well as either two-class or threeclass Concentration-based plans.

The guide provides step-by-step instructions for using the tool. Overall, using this guide helps reduce the risk of pathogens in the food supply, as it helps organizations implement effective sampling plans.
